Disciplinary Rules

At Ganga Global Institute of Management Studies (GGIMS), discipline and academic integrity are considered essential for maintaining a productive and professional learning environment. All students are required to follow the rules, regulations, and academic guidelines of the institute during their course of study. The objective of these rules is to ensure a safe, respectful, and academically focused atmosphere for all students, faculty members, and staff.

1. Academic Discipline

Students are expected to maintain a high standard of academic responsibility and sincerity. Regular attendance in lectures, practical classes, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities is mandatory. Students must come prepared for classes and actively participate in learning activities.

Submission of assignments, projects, and reports must be done within the prescribed deadlines. Any form of plagiarism, copying, cheating in examinations, or academic malpractice will be treated as a serious offense and may result in disciplinary action as per institutional and university norms.

Students must follow the examination rules and maintain honesty during internal assessments, class tests, and university examinations.

2. Attendance and Punctuality

Students are required to maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by the university and the institute. Regular attendance is necessary to appear in internal and external examinations. Late arrival in classes, leaving the classroom without permission, or frequent absence without valid reasons will be treated as indiscipline.

3. Classroom Conduct

Students must maintain discipline and decorum in classrooms, laboratories, library, and all academic areas of the campus. They should show respect toward faculty members and fellow students and avoid any disruptive behavior during lectures or academic sessions.

Use of mobile phones or electronic devices during class hours is not permitted unless allowed by the faculty for academic purposes.

4. Respect and Professional Behavior

Students must behave in a respectful and professional manner with faculty members, administrative staff, visitors, and fellow students. Any form of misbehavior, harassment, bullying, or ragging is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with strictly as per the rules and regulations of the institute.

5. Institute Property

Students must take care of institute property including classrooms, laboratories, library materials, furniture, and equipment. Any damage, misuse, or loss of institute property will result in disciplinary action and compensation for the damage caused.

6. Dress Code and Identity Card

Students are required to follow the dress code prescribed by the institute and maintain a neat and professional appearance on campus. Wearing the student identity card inside the campus is mandatory at all times.

7. Participation in Academic Activities

Students are encouraged to participate in seminars, workshops, guest lectures, training programs, sports, cultural activities, and other institutional events. Such participation contributes to overall personality development and professional growth.

8. Disciplinary Action

The institute has a Disciplinary Committee to monitor and address issues related to student conduct and academic discipline. Any violation of rules may lead to appropriate action such as warning, suspension from classes or activities, restriction from examinations, or other measures as decided by the committee.
