Internal Assessment Guidelines
Internal Assessment is an integral component of the continuous evaluation system at Ganga Global Institute of Management Studies (GGIMS), Begusarai. It ensures systematic monitoring of student performance throughout the semester in alignment with university norms (AKU, Patna).
The objective is to promote continuous learning, academic discipline, and outcome-based education.
Objectives of Internal Assessment
To evaluate students continuously during the semester
To encourage regular class attendance and participation
To assess understanding of concepts and practical skills
To improve academic performance through feedback
To align evaluation with Course Outcomes (COs)
Conduct of Internal Tests
Two internal tests shall be conducted in each semester.
Question paper shall cover syllabus taught up to that date.
Evaluation shall be completed within a reasonable time.
Answer scripts must be shown to students for transparency.
Assignment & Presentation Guidelines
Assignments must be topic-specific and relevant to the syllabus.
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Presentations shall be evaluated based on content, clarity, and subject understanding.
MCA & BCA lab assignments must demonstrate practical implementation skills
Attendance Criteria
Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory as per university norms.
Attendance marks shall be awarded proportionately.
Students with shortage of attendance may not be eligible for internal assessment benefits.
Transparency & Fairness
Evaluation must be impartial and objective.
Internal marks shall be displayed on notice board / LMS before submission.
Grievance redressal mechanism shall be available for students.
Submission of Internal Marks
Faculty must submit internal marks to HOD within stipulated time.
HOD shall verify and forward to Examination Cell.
Records must be maintained for academic audit and accreditation.
Review & Monitoring
Internal assessment implementation shall be reviewed by HOD.
IQAC may audit internal assessment processes periodically.
Feedback from students shall be used for improvement.
Grievance Redressal
Students may submit grievances regarding internal marks to:

Examination Cell
All grievances shall be resolved within a reasonable time frame.
