Preamble

Ganga Global Institute of Management Studies is committed to maintaining a culture of academic excellence, integrity, discipline, and mutual respect. The Code of Conduct outlines the professional and ethical standards expected from all stakeholders including students, faculty members, administrative staff, and visitors.

The objective of this code is to create a safe, inclusive, and academically vibrant environment that supports quality education, research, and professional development in accordance with the guidelines of national regulatory bodies.

Objectives of the Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct aims to:

·         Promote academic integrity and ethical behavior in teaching, learning, and research.

·         Ensure discipline and professionalism among students and staff.

·         Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment.

·         Encourage responsible use of institutional resources.

·         Align institutional practices with quality standards recommended by accreditation bodies.

Code of Conduct for Students

Students are expected to maintain high standards of academic and personal conduct.

Academic Responsibilities

·         Attend classes regularly and actively participate in academic activities.

·         Maintain honesty and integrity in examinations, assignments, and projects.

·         Avoid plagiarism, cheating, or any academic malpractice.

Discipline and Behaviour

·         Respect faculty members, staff, and fellow students.

·         Maintain discipline within classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other campus facilities.

·         Refrain from activities that disturb the academic environment.

Campus Responsibility

·         Protect institutional property and maintain campus cleanliness.

·         Follow institutional policies regarding attendance, examinations, and assessments.

·         Participate in co-curricular, extension, and community engagement activities.

Anti-Ragging and Harassment

·         The institution follows a zero tolerance policy against ragging.

·         Any form of harassment, bullying, or discrimination is strictly prohibited.

Code of Conduct for Faculty Members

Faculty members play a vital role in maintaining academic quality and institutional reputation.

Professional Ethics

·         Maintain integrity, fairness, and transparency in teaching and evaluation.

·         Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and conduct classes effectively.

·         Encourage innovation, research, and critical thinking among students.

Academic Responsibilities

·         Follow the prescribed syllabus and academic calendar.

·         Evaluate students impartially and maintain confidentiality of academic records.

·         Guide students in research, projects, and professional development.

Professional Behaviour

·         Maintain respectful communication with students and colleagues.

·         Participate in institutional development activities such as committees, research initiatives, and outreach programs.

Code of Conduct for Administrative Staff

Administrative staff contribute significantly to institutional efficiency and student support services.

They are expected to:

·         Perform duties with integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

·         Maintain confidentiality of institutional records.

·         Provide timely and efficient services to students and faculty.

·         Support institutional activities and quality initiatives.

Use of Institutional Facilities

All members of the institution must ensure responsible use of institutional resources such as:

·         Laboratories

·         Computer and internet services

·         Sports and recreational facilities

Misuse or damage to institutional property may result in disciplinary action.
